Wild Hearts representatives just finished a Reddit AMA session, in which a bunch of potentially important features have been confirmed. The monster-slaying action RPG is out in just a couple of weeks — on the 17th February for PS5 — and it continues to sound like promising project.
For starters, the title's post-launch content will be entirely free. Developer Omega Force plans on adding new creatures in what we assume will be similar updates to what Capcom's been doing with its Monster Hunter games.
On top of that, publishers Koei Tecmo and EA (which still seems like an odd combination!) have insisted that Wild Hearts will have no microtransactions. And yes, you can play the whole game solo and offline if you want. The difficulty will adjust accordingly, apparently.
As for further gameplay details, two graphics settings have been outlined, with performance mode offering 60 frames-per-second at a (somewhat disappointing) 1080p, and 30fps at 4K.

Nice, I'm rooting for this game. I love Monster Hunter but there's definitely room for more in the genre
Hoping that's true. EA has lied about no microtransactions many times before.
This is on my list of games I'm excited about in 2023, latest gameplay video was a lot of fun. Fingers crossed they deliver.
Will the game have online matchmaking? I like monster hunter as you can call on random people to help you if you're finding it too hard, so if this has the same feature then this will be day one for me.
i'm definitely feeling games need to have an inbetween res at 40 fps option these days aswell.
on the sony games it is my prefered option.
i still happily play loads of ps4 games on my ps5 so full 4k isn't super neccesary for me but 40 fps is a lot better than 30 fps.
Should be possible to "rent" the game. Not dropping 70 on an EA game without trying it first.
I'll definitely give this a go, I loved Monster Hunter World but was deeply disappointed in Rise so hopefully Wild Hearts can deliver.
Say what you will about EA but it looks like they might have a pretty darn strong lineup this year. They just had Dead Space Remake. Their PGA game is looking good. Star Wars Jedi Survivor looks great. Then this as well? Pretty solid year overall if everything turns out well. Heck might even see Dragon Age 4 finally.
@brazzios_84
Why don't you go and "rent" it then? Plenty websites out thr that offer game rentals.
Too deep into Rise right now and that's already a huge timesink. If this gets top reviews, I'll probably still get it. EA being involved is always worrisome though
it will have a 10hr trial on EAplay
Sounds great. I hope the game is good as more games like MH will help the genre grow.
@Amusei If you think base Rise is big wait until Sunbreak drops haha.
@Korgon Hot take but since Battlefront 2 i feel EA have largely got their act together. Yes Battlefield 2042 sucks and Fifa is well Fifa but they have put more focus on single player games and they have toned down the live service and MTX stuff.

Daaaaamn. Everything about this sounds great.. but 1080p.. really?!
@Riddles96 Don't worry. I will "rent" it.
@Korgon Solid lineup indeed, and that's just the first 3 months of 2023!
I'll be paying full price for Jedi Survivor and waiting for massive discounts on both Wild Hearts and Dead Space remake.
